Michael Keaton on Trump supporters: “When Trump said ‘I could shoot somebody on 5th Avenue and they’d still vote for me,’ basically what he’s saying is these people are so stupid, they’d still vote for me. They have no respect for you, trust me”
Without consent of Congress he involved the U.S. military in a Middle East war in which we were not a combatant.
Now he wants to start a war with Venezuela.
Enough is enough. Congress needs to do its job.

🚨NEW: Former Rep. Joe Kennedy calls on his uncle, RFK Jr., to resign as HHS Secretary: “Robert Kennedy Jr. is a threat to the health and wellbeing of every American. He must resign.”
RETWEET if you stand with @JoeKennedy against RFK!
Another lie by anti-science fanatics.
No, Japan did not cease all vaccinations for children under 24 months in 1994. The claim in the X post is misleading. In 1994, Japan changed its vaccination policy from "mandatory" to "recommended," but this did not mean that vaccinations stopped. Instead, it shifted the responsibility to parents and healthcare providers to decide on vaccinations based on individual circumstances. Vaccination rates remained high, often reaching 100% for certain diseases, as reported by the Japanese Health Ministry. The policy change was more about the legal framework rather than a cessation of vaccinations. Additionally, Japan's infant mortality rate being one of the lowest in the world is not solely attributable to this policy change, as other factors like healthcare quality and socioeconomic conditions also play significant roles.
Wanna point out that Japan has had a lower infant mortality rate than the US since 1963. In 1990 (4 years before the vaccine mandate was lifted) japans IMR was 4.6 per 1,000 live births while that of the US was almost double that (9.4).
It’s also important to note what IMR actually means. Infant mortality rate refers to the number of infants who died before reaching one year of age, per 1,000 live births (doesn’t include still births).
If we wanna look at correlations between IMR and vaccinations, both countries saw widespread uptakes in vaccination rates around 1950-1960. Vaccinations certainly aren’t the only reason for the drops in IMR but if we relate the 2 in the same way this post does, it could be said that vaccinations played a significant role in the fact that japans IMR in 1960 was 30.4 (dropping to 1.8 by 2023), and the US’ IMR in 1960 was 25.9 (dropping to 5.5 in 2023).
ALSO in Japan vaccines are free, as they were before the mandate was lifted. So the fact that they became technically optional didn’t reduce their availability. This will not be the case in the US. In the US, changing vaccines from mandated to optional means insurance companies have a valid basis to deny coverage, restricting access.
The circumstances are also worth noting. In the US the anti-vax movement isn’t even just anti-vax, countless people who subscribe to the ideology reject medical science and science in general. In Japan there was not a massive national movement centered around the rejection of science.
