@PhDinProgress17@JohannaMellis@harriekd I’ve been out of the loop and was just thinking about them, wondering if they were still hanging on, so I came to check. Logically, I knew probably not since they were suffering so, so much, but my heart is broken. They were such a kind soul.
@smiturn I do a Baroque dance lesson with my students, including showing them the Beauchamp-Feuillet notation, and they really become interested when they see that the “bar lines” in the dance notation corresponds to the bar lines in the music.
@PhDinProgress17 When I first started, we were writing instructors for a course that may be totally out of our wheelhouse and met with the students 1X WEEK to teach writing. I was assigned to a psych class on the development of creativity. Then they switched to UWS, which was infinitely better.
@PhDinProgress17 I think I taught more UWS courses than courses in the music department. I wound up a VAP teaching freshman comp after I graduated (which was a WHOLE different ball game, we had to use the same assignments as UWS). Do they still require them to do a close reading and lens essay?
Got word today that I was promoted early to Associate Professor as of August 2024. I’m over the moon, humbled, and grateful. Next stop, tenure (that file goes in in August—the same rules that allowed me to stand for promotion early prevented me from standing for tenure early)!

@NewportLaura@afrosabi Ooh, good to know about the one out in Opelika! I pass Bytes and Brews on the way home from the RiverPark campus and was wondering how it was!
Well, since you like to throw your terms and conditions at me, how’s this: according to same those terms and conditions, you have 30 days to allow me to cash out my earnings. Make things right, please! 3/3
Since this seems to be the only way can I get @brandedsurveys to answer me, here we go. Ya’ll suspended my account and didn’t answer my email until I Tweeted at you. You then said it was suspended because you did not like the speed at which I was answering questions 1/3
(even though my answers were consistent throughout—everything I do is quick: it’s how my brain processes and reacts to things). Then, you refused to answer my email about cashing out what I earned. 2/3
