@MBTA Paid for parking at Wellington only to find out that orange line trains are not moving anytime soon. No updates posted here—what’s going on? We got off and are driving now, so a wasted fare and parking.
Requesting syllabus suggestions for a new seminar I'm teaching on music and dance (with minimal prereqs for undergrads). Really interested in anything you've found helpful as a beginner in either field, and particularly on the idea of choreography as music analysis.
@zachlloydMT Also if your institution uses Canvas, there's a built-in feature in the calendar that I've found to be a useful alternative to https://t.co/xChNYP746Y, depending on how many classes you teach/how many different types of appointments you'd like students to make.
@ttallon So I think they combined two subjects from when you were here, it’s more colloquially known as Stravinsky to the present. No current other contemporary course but hopefully someday soon! And will be in touch about a visit. 🙂
Teaching a Music since 1900 class for the first time at MIT this Fall and wondering: what are your must teach pieces and/or readings (upper undergrad friendly), and any composers interested in doing a class visit virtually or in-person?
@willmasonmusic We have a few really awesome NA cocktail cookbooks you’re welcome to borrow! And the Ritual tequila makes a really awesome NA margarita that’s more herbal than normal which you might enjoy 🙂
@juliannegrasso Yeah I wish this were more accepted. We aren’t even *allowed* to do this unless we have Covid or a huge number of students do. There are pedagogical situations where Zoom is also simply better…
@juliannegrasso Dresses with leggings and stretchy lightweight blazers were my go-to Florida teaching clothes! Need layers that can easily go on and off for walks between a/c spaces.
