@emilykmay I feel this debate revolves around how we think other people experience giving in (i.e., men do it too but it doesn't mean as much to them), and around the uniqueness of sexual encounters (i.e., giving in sexually has a more profound impact than giving in in other ways does).
@emilykmay This feels like a piece with the conclusion predetermined looking for some juicy quotes to support the thesis.
The truth is we all engage in behavior we dislike based on some internal calculus of cost/benefit. Do we sometimes regret it? Hold the other in contempt? Sure.
@weedswildflowrs@HenpeckedHal My take: it helps with communication skills but doesn't change who you are.
If the problems are just lack of communication it will help. If your differences are more fundamental it will just help you express those differences more clearly.
@Not_TheFace@ScottAdamsSays Seriously, @ScottAdamsSays, wtf? I appreciate your perspective when I can understand what the hell you are trying to say but you seem to take delight in intentionally frustrating people who want to hear your ideas. It's no kidding annoying af and I'm a fan.
@CarpeNoctom In a random distribution of two equally probable outcomes you would expect a 50/50 result.
With a small sample size (8 in this case), it will rarely be exactly even (4/4). The fact that it's only *one* off (5/3) leads me to believe this is an insignificant result.
