One of my cats developed a cold and I’m pretty sure he passed it to the other kitty during our trip. I imagine they don’t feel great but the tiny sneezes coming from random places are kind of adorable (they’re eating, drinking, and playing fine)
I thought I was being clever taking the elevator instead of the stairs to get to the subway, only to discover after 3 stops that I'd gotten right back on the train I was transferring from.
Then I called to tell my apptmt I would be 30m late, only to find out I had it in my cal wrong... And I was*already* 30m late
It's been quite a morning
@faera_lane People are silly.
All my childhood cats had food names - Gumdrop, Sugar, Butterscotch, ...
Now, I'm a people-namer.
Meet Pinkerton & Poe (they needed to sound like they'd have their adventures documented in a children's book series)
Did I just manage to leave my very heavy backpack at a store and ride home before realizing it?
Why yes, I did. 🫣
Thankfully, it appears to be at said store waiting for me.
Did I also feel very proud of myself for figuring out who to call and calling in Japanese?
Yes, I did 😆
Had my first eye test in Japan. They aren't recommending glasses quite yet - partly because my left and right eyes are so different that, if I understood correctly, glasses might compound the issue. Guess Mom was right about that long side fringe in middle school. 😬
Just experienced my first earthquake alert (courtesy of my new phone, purchased in Japan) and experienced my strongest quake to date - not strong enough to knock anything over, but a decent shake and good emergency practice
