Thanks El Cerrito voters for electing me to serve on the El Cerrito City Council!
I am so thankful to all of you. To everyone who donated, volunteered, spread the word about my campaign to your friends and neighbors: this victory is yours too.

We're thrilled to see El Cerrito featured in the San Francisco Chronicle today! Thank you for shining a light on our welcoming and diverse city. Read the article at https://t.co/GFySrpVf4f
Seamless transfer from
BART red to yellow line tonight. But if I had missed the connection, the next train comes in 10 minutes.
We must fund transit and preserve this service. Without state funding, BART service could be reduced to one train per hour. We canโt let that happen!
El Cerrito was struggling to hire and retain childcare workers, so the City raised wages and now the school aftercare program is nearly fully staffed. ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ
Paying living wages is critical to retaining staff and providing excellent city services.
Extra grateful for multiple transition options today. The El Cerrito Plaza BART station closed due to a medical emergency right after I arrived, so Iโm taking @rideact 72R to the @BikeEastBay office in Jack London Square.
Love that I start every week walking my daughter to school down the Ohlone Greenway and then walking up the Greenway for my weekly meeting with El Cerrito City Manager Karen Pinkos. โค๏ธ๐ถ๐ผโโ๏ธ๐ณ
Had an amazing day hiking with my daughter to the top of the El Cerrito Natural Hillside Area and enjoying incredible views.
Weโre so lucky to live in El Cerrito, where we can both walk to amazing hikes like this and walk to transit to connect with the rest of the Bay Area.
Happy Valentineโs Day! My family started our celebration with heart shaped pancakes and a walk/scoot to school on the Ohlone Greenway.
So grateful to have this gem that welcomes families and people of all ages and abilities to safely walk, bike, and scooter together. โค๏ธ๐ถ๐ผโโ๏ธ๐ฒ๐ด
Had a fantastic afternoon at the open house of the newly remodeled Kensington fire house with my daughter, who loved climbing on and exploring inside of fire engines.
Kensington contracts with El Cerrito Fire Department, so this is 1 of 3 fire stations the department works from.

Spent much of the last two days on El Cerrito tours and briefings, an absolutely fascinating and humbling experience as I realized how much there is for me to learn as a new councilmember.
So appreciate all the City staff, many of whom I met and learned from.

Building more housing near transit is one of the best ways to stop climate change.
Thanks Senator Wiener and @cayimby for this important bill!
I introduced legislation (SB 79) to:
1. Up-zone areas around major transit stops (rail, bus rapid transit) for denser housing
2. Empower transit agencies to zone/permit projects on their land
3. Streamline (ministerial approval/no CEQA) projects on these up-zoned parcels๐งต
Maddening that I have to wave both of my arms above my head for several seconds to get car drivers to stop for me to walk across this crosswalk between a park and a school.
We need to slow down cars on Moeser through infrastructure improvements.
