I live a lowkey private life. Alone. Observing more than speaking. Thinking more than showing. I get rarely bored by solitude. A quiet room, a book, a long walk, my own thoughts. That’s all I need. What exhausts me is people. The small talk. The noise. The constant performing. The pressure to always be “on.” Too many conversations with no depth. Too many masks. So I disappear for a while. Just to breathe again. To hear my own thoughts. To feel my own emotions. To reconnect with myself beneath all the noise of the world. And honestly,
it feels like therapy for the soul.
ADHD is not laziness..
I thought I was lazy for years.
Turns out my brain just doesn’t respond to “important.”
It responds to: — urgency
— novelty
— panic
— random inspiration at 2am
Everything else feels like trying to start a car with no fuel.
And then I started learning ADHD isn’t a motivation problem.
It’s an activation problem.
I can care deeply… and still not move.
That’s the part people don’t see.
The worst feeling with ADHD…
is wasting an entire day doing nothing,
while your mind keeps reminding you of everything you should be doing.
You’re stuck between guilt and paralysis.
Reading is a skill and it’s something that has to be taught and compounded on. Unfortunately, a lot of adults cannot even read at an upperclassman level. We need more patience, understanding, and literacy classes. It’s not just about the words it’s about comprehension.
People say there’s no magic in books but the fact that you can string words together to create a series of visions in someone else’s brain is still our greatest achievement as a species.
i feel like the purpose of fanfiction is lost when people start considering it’s something that should be appealing to an audience rather than something that only need to appeal to one specific person (the writer).
I like quiet people. Who are not loud to be interesting. Who read books no one talks about. Who can sit through a 2-hour documentary about bees. They're smart, but have no need to show off. No performance. Just depth. Just a calm presence. They notice things. They think deeply. They understand more than they say. The ones who stay low-key and private in a world obsessed with being seen. And that’s what makes them rare.
Seeing my favorite fics getting accused of AI when it’s clear that those writers are just doing what they love, spending so much time and effort and passion just to share something is really heartbreaking.
High functioning ADHD is weird because you’ll be complimented for your accomplishments, while stressing out over that one phone call that you have to make
Don't ask introverts “why are you so quiet?”. Bruh, that’s how they function. That's the design of their DNA. Quiet & alone. They don't talk just to talk, they talk when they have something to say. When something excites them. When something moves their soul, then, they talk.
