@Jeff_Pedley I studied Roll of Thunder and To Kill a Mockingbird for GCSE, along with R&J and An Inspector Calls (taught AIC, R&J and TKAM) - we studied one Shakespeare play per year, plus I remember studying The File on Fraulein Berg and A Little Princess at KS3!
@Joseph_Fasano_ Lots of Rilke - ‘between the hammer strokes, our hearts survive’ (Tenth Duino Elegy) and ‘no feeling is final’ (Go to the Limits of Your Longing.)
Honourable mentions to Kim Addonizio’s To the Woman Crying Uncontrollably in the Next Stall and Mary Oliver’s Don’t Hesitate, too.
@VickyBall3 Our Infinite Fates by Laura Steven - it just came out but is currently the #1 NYT YA bestseller and is brilliant. It does have time jumps but the present day chapters are set in Abergavenny!
@RhiMacG Book Lovers is my favourite Emily Henry book so I will always recommend it, but if you’re in the mood for some great non-fiction I loved The Hare with Amber Eyes.
@theremotepart_ I actually haven’t tried listening while night feeding yet but that’s such a good shout - I just have my emotional support Kindle with me 😂
