My intention to keep a log of new med journey faded into obscurity. In any case, the meds are working and the world doesn’t feel so bad. Probably because my world now consists almost exclusively of me devouring books every day. 15 books in 19 days.

Day 6: took the whole dose at 7:30 PM instead of in the morning, so we’ll see if this stuff makes me consistently drowsy af since it did yesterday. So far, so good, though. Boundaries have been much easier to enforce.

Day 3-4: racing thoughts virtually extinguished. Day 5: took a whole dose, conked out, & slept for almost half of a day.

Day 2 of antidepressants: Had a long-time-coming conversation with my partner about something important to me because I had the emotional and mental space to finally talk about it.

Day 1 on antidepressant: little groggy this morning from the anti anxiety med last night, but not dizzy. Still a little sleepy and no racing thoughts; not sure if it’s the antidepressant or residual effects of the anti anxiety med. Either way, 👍.

Decided to give my brand spanking new anti-anxiety med a try which was supposed to make me, I don’t know, sleepy? But motivated me to clean half of my dumpster fire of a depression mess filled kitchen and dining room. I’ll consider that a win.

Boyfriend’s roommate spent time with a COVID positive friend. Employee’s girlfriend had lunch with a CV+ coworker. Another employee spent time with CV+ positive family members. People who are CV+ may NOT KNOW & will expose many people. This is not the time to let your guard down.

Wow, the hope that so many of us felt. I’m glad that I continued to follow full COVID precautions. This could have actually worked, but no. People refused to get vaccinated & wear masks. Now look at where we are. You’re an asshole if you don’t wear a mask & aren’t vaccinated.

I almost fucking LOST it in a @SpeedWayFuel just now. 10 people inside, the cashier and I were the only ones wearing masks. The fuck is wrong with people? Speedway, you need to MANDATE masks and not “recommend” them.

@SkyeTheCloud The darkness is the hardest for me. I can tolerate heat for longer periods than cold, but I still prefer colder weather. I’ll take the cold, dark, and snow over extreme heat and humidity any day. Also, I LOVE thick, cozy clothes and snuggling up.
