Happy #WorldMentalHealthDay!
Today we want to remind everybody that it's okay to ask for support if you need it. We’re partnered with @BigWhiteWall1 to provide online #mentalhealth support 24/7 to all Heriot-Watt students and staff.

Feeling all kind of furious & frustrated - PG students from Uni of Amsterdam whom we invited to @UofGPsychology to build research collaborations & share practice have been denied visas by UK - Both embarrassing & horrifying to have students treated this way @scotgov@TESScotland
Excellent advice on managing PhD overwhelm, something I get a lot and try to do this to help me focus again #phdchat#phd#impostersyndrome#stress https://t.co/tiqrPm1sln
@AnnaGlarin Mendeley for storing and highlighting, scrivener for annotated bibliography so I can line it up with chapter writing. I have a manually typed index folder (A-Z) in Scrivener too to help referencing.
@MktgAunzers @ReadTheSyllabus Completely agree. But often in my research on student experience the classroom is periphery to students because they find them boring, didactic and very little participation opportunities except maybe ask or respond to a Q
@ReadTheSyllabus Switch emphasis in grading on attendance and you see more participative classes and excellent learning experience. Shouldn’t the classroom be at the centre of the education, not on the peripheral?
@vickimmadden This is my second year and I already feel it’s my 19th... Reminds me of Beijing but with less selfies with strangers and a little more space between people - but not by much!
I completely agree. We need accessible resources for teachers so they can easily find useful technology that suits them and their students. That's where Academic Development Departments can come in. @DamianHinds@educationgovuk
@itsashleydee Amazing!! I’m finding it fantastic, plus really good for #remoteretreat as you can add multiple entries per day, so tracking your progress. 310 words is great, better than 0, keep it up!
