The Cactus Pan! I’m coining that—the green on this bike is basically cactus-colored. Tell me I’m wrong. These are the final shots of @john_simpson02’s desert cruiser.
Found this Panhead frame in a loft, along with its matching tanks painted in Costa Rica in the early ’60s. The motor and trans sat separately for 30+ years. It’s not a forever bike, but it’s staying for a while.
I’d been chasing this bike for nearly a year. Built in the ’70s with an 80” flathead, it sat for decades after its owner passed. Today I brought it home, swapped in a motor, and rode it. A little fear keeps you sharp.
Recently got this 1947 UL flatty. I’ve wanted a stock bike for a long time, but they’re incredibly hard to find and prices are astronomical. I’m grateful and excited to ride it around town. Stock bikes rule!
