Things kids say to me pt.1

”Rebecka, I’m shy in front of you because your hair is so pretty”

@Ashull_ + taco time

[Rebecka Julås @Rebeckajulas]

@Ashull_ Perfect! And then we can make pumpkin everything 😬👏🏼

Some days it’s just really hard to have your best friends on the other side of the world.

[Rebecka Julås @Rebeckajulas]

Oktober means back to phone dying on 40% battery bc it’s “too cold” season🙇🏼‍♀️

[Rebecka Julås @Rebeckajulas]

Really craving some pumpkin bread. And pumpkin pancakes. And pumpkin everything.

But at least there’s pumpkin spice lattes here 💁🏼☕️

Two options:
1. He didn’t read & just copy+pasted his comment
2. He thinks my design skills need help

For my own sake, I’m going with nr 1🤓

[Rebecka Julås @Rebeckajulas]

When I guy contacts me asking if I need his help with logo/graphic design. Through my portfolio site. Which is showing my own designs.

Just saw a woman wearing gloves and a beanie; It’s 12’C. But like. HOW is she gonna survive Swedish winter if this is cold for her?

[Rebecka Julås @Rebeckajulas]

Highly considering starting a doodle document or creating an excel sheet 🙈

[Rebecka Julås @Rebeckajulas]

Trying to get 5 people spread out over 3 countries in 3 continents to skype all at the same time involves so much counting🤷🏼‍♀️⏰

[Rebecka Julås @Rebeckajulas]

Sweden, When are you gonna catch up with selling cold brew in stores? NOT all about the bying a $5 cup at the Coffee shop everyday no thanks

😶☀️

[The Local Sweden @TheLocalSweden]

The impact of Sweden's summer heatwave is visible from space https://t.co/fgdI2Nv1XC

[Rebecka Julås @Rebeckajulas]

Also people have way strong “farmer” accents. And one guy had the sound of a duck as his phone signal for calls. Like WHERE EVEN AM I?

[Rebecka Julås @Rebeckajulas]

Back in my hometown and it’s a big festival going on. People are drinking on the bus, as if it’s nothing. Culture shock is v strong atm

[Rebecka Julås @Rebeckajulas]

Spent 10min outside last night and got 9 mosquito bites. Welcome back to Sweden🤷🏼‍♀️🙈

[Rebecka Julås @Rebeckajulas]

Also people still assume that I’m American; asked how long I’ve lived in Sweden & what I do. Guess my American side of me still is strong😎

[Rebecka Julås @Rebeckajulas]

You know you are on your way to the US when you start small talking to people at the gate- before even getting on the flight 🔜🇺🇸

[Rebecka Julås @Rebeckajulas]

The logic of a 5-year old. Accents become different languages 🙈

[Rebecka Julås @Rebeckajulas]

Overheard:
“Now when we are back in Sweden I feel much more home”
“we’ve been in Sweden the whole time”
“Oh, but they say the r’s different”
