A quick "who am I" for those who followed me b/c of RT's from star wars or die hard liberal pages: I'm a feminist comic book nerd wannabe librarian who would much rather geek out over how comics, punk rock, literature, and open mics can help change the world.
I had such plans for productivity in the morning. turns out: BG3 full party shenanigans await. (thank you ps5 for giving us mods I HAVE BEEN WAITING and am very pleased)
I have trouble finding BG3 fic, but the BG3 related actual plays? Literally MAGIC. I think the BG3 cast fully deserves an animated series--they are brilliant and the rapport between all of them is compelling AF.
do I buy a5 size sheet protectors so I can get away with using pencil for uncertain things and not resulting in all the smudging ever, or do I just stop worrying about the smudging? It feels silly, but I hate smudging. but I like the possibility of changing my mind on paper.
did I need to spend an hour looking up more spooky (theoretically) kid friendly music for tomorrow's storytime, all of which will be played in the background? did I have to go looking for more spooky theremin music? no. Did I anyway? duh. will this playlist be kid friendly? dunno
so in covid times I have: watched two episodes of the Express Way with Dulé Hill, watched an entire season of Miss Scarlett and the Duke, watched a bunch of videos from PBS Digital Studios (a GIFT of education and entertainment tbh) and now I'm reading comics. Could be worse?
covid found me and instead of binging superhero stuff or supernatural..... this time around I'm binging pbs content. Frankie Drake Mysteries, the Express Way with Dulé Hill, and Art in the 21st Century. I'm glad to add PBS to regular options tbh
the band the characters were in was a band that had guitar, organ, and drums. and their style: Tracksuits. the band name: the Organ Grinders. Honestly, a joy of a one shot, even if I still need to learn to let baddies actually do bad/scary things!
one of my favorite things about the Monster of the Week adventure where characters were musicians on the way to a rock festival were the other bands: Chaosium, Evil Hat, and Wizards of the Ancient Forest. Hello, it's me I'm a nerd. Pretty sure the players caught on as well
I actually gave an npc ze/zir pronouns (partly because I'm out of practice and need to get back into practice) and google docs isn't working with it. I'm not surprised or anything, but also it's 2024? like maybe you could?
@AbeVonAugust All of this was absolute ✨MAGIC✨ omfg
SO GOOD! The reveal of Sam's character (SO HOT), the flirting, Matt getting the hdywtdt, dorian's amazing spell.
And you got to experience this in person!!!! AAAAHHH continues to be SO COOL!
@lincodega ha, I cannot actually imagine running a dark urge playthrough in general, though kagha does make the idea of messing with the grove not improbable. I tried stealing the statue but that went real bad real fast yikes. and that was still good aligned!
@AbeVonAugust@CriticalRole@LauraBaileyVO Truly that is amazing and I'm so happy you got to experience that! And meet a Fearne! Absolute Magic ✨ I can't wait to see the ep when it airs (seriously is it Thursday yet? b/c I am READY)
The BG3 cast actual play (as led by the wonderful Mark Hulmes) gives me joy for many reasons, and makes me want an animated series ASAP. Also, I love the way Astarion questions what Tav has been holding back, and Shadowheart's concern about Tav's condition. Honestly just A++
sometimes new players give themselves chain mail armor even though they don't have a proficiency in it. and sometimes, you just say.... y'know what, I'll let you have it if you really want it. Why not? *adds proficiency for said armor*
