Thank you @FT and @fteconomics for finally joining the party ... 6 months late.

Please start reporting on the implied collusion in the market and definitive exploitation of customers.

@TRACYMOORE66 @Pam_nAshes Yes, we do use the Openreach network (like BT, TalkTalk, Vodafone, and Sky)
However, we provide you:
-Better in home Wi-Fi network
-Latest hardware (Wi-Fi 6 Router)
-Adaptive Wi-Fi software
-Continuous performance monitoring
-24/7 customer support
-No long-term contracts
@VIOLENTSEED All our broadband customers receive our Rebel R1 Router (Wi-Fi 6) included in their broadband service so they don't need to go out to buy expensive equipment
No extra fees!
We provide them the best from the start!
@BangAverageCat3 Thanks for the comment.
1. We do actually try to educate our customers and prospective customers on the difference as we can deliver both great broadband and great Wi-Fi.
We explain it here:
https://t.co/Ymc5zK9cfm
2. We don't do long-term contracts!
@damieng5 @FlintManey@4tis oh we love facts...
5 of the largest 6 providers in the UK embed above-inflation annual price rises in their contracts. By definition increasing inflation and taking money out of their customer's pockets and into their corporate coffers
...lets hold Big Broadband to facts
@FlintManey @damieng5 @4tis 3. Service (we have 24/7 customer service and continuous performance monitoring of you E2E connections from broadband through to Wi-Fi)
4. No long-term contracts (we don't trap customers into long-term contracts like Big Broadband providers)
(2/2)
@FlintManey @damieng5 @4tis First, great question!
Here are a couple reasons:
1. Product (integrated solution versus buying broadband, a Router, and Extenders separately)
2. Hardware (we have hardware refresh cycles when their existing hardware is past its useful life)
(1/2)
@damieng5 @4tis From a Wi-Fi standards perspective, spot on!
However, the vast majority of devices aren't yet Wi-Fi 6e capable meaning they cannot support the 6 GHz frequency band.
It doesn't matter if the Router is 6e, the end device can't use it!
So for now, it's available but not adopted
@thepetererer We think good providers should be capable of delivering both for their customers.
You can purchase a broadband-only service from Rebel if you want!

@damieng5 @4tis 100%!
We've tested and deployed both Wi-Fi 5 and Wi-Fi 6 SuperPods.
Our Wi-Fi 5 SuperPods deliver over 950 Mbps throughout our 1Gb broadband customer's homes.
This makes the performance / value way better on Wi-Fi 5 vs. Wi-Fi 6 SuperPods (2x the price).
@4tis Our differentiation is all about the in-home technology. We use the latest router (Wi-Fi 6) and Wi-Fi extenders and Adaptive Wi-Fi sofware to create a stronger home Wi-Fi experience
@4tis We both use Openreach as the "last mile" or "local access network". This is the pipe that goes to your home.
Your broadband experience will be determined from the core network + local access network + router + Wi-Fi technology

@AwkStop There a lots of downsides buying extenders:
-Not integrated so it creates a second network
-Expensive upfront costs
-Quickly outdated, no refresh cycles
-No customer servive
Rebel's Wi-Fi Only service fixes all those problems and is affordable.

Do you have Ring or Alexa but you’re still getting your internet from a Big Broadband provider?

@dtaylor5633@WhingerSpice and their above-inflation annual price rises ... and their woeful customer service ... and their outdated equipment ... and their "Bad" score on Trustpilot
BT will sure give you a lot!
