🍀Good luck to everyone in the August edition!
💬Last week brought significant moves across the markets.
The Fed kept interest rates unchanged, while the yield on the 30-year U.S. Treasury bond climbed to its highest level since 2007. Rising bond yields increased pressure on stocks, particularly growth and technology companies, supported the U.S. dollar, and weighed on gold.
Another major event was the sharp movement in the Japanese yen. After the currency weakened to nearly 164 yen per U.S. dollar, Japanese authorities intervened in the foreign exchange market. The United States later joined Japan in a coordinated intervention, marking their first joint action of this kind since 2011.
This week, investors will focus mainly on Friday’s U.S. labor market data, including Nonfarm Payrolls, the unemployment rate, and average hourly earnings. These figures could significantly influence expectations surrounding the Fed’s next steps.
🍀Good Luck Rebels!

👉Last week, markets came under pressure as oil prices and bond yields continued to rise, bringing inflation concerns back into focus. Higher yields made bonds more attractive compared to stocks and created additional pressure on technology companies.
Market sentiment was also affected by results from Google and Tesla. Both companies reported massive spending on AI, data centres, robotaxi development and other future projects, raising concerns about how quickly these investments will begin to generate returns.
This week, investors will focus mainly on the Fed’s interest rate decision, followed by US GDP and Core PCE inflation data. These events could significantly influence the dollar, stock indices and overall market volatility.
🍀Good luck Rebels!
