Nearly 800,000 KRG Employees Receive Salaries Through 'MyAccount'
Nearly 800,000 KRG public employees will receive May salaries through the "MyAccount" digital banking system ahead of Eid al-Adha. The rollout marks a major step in Kurdistan Region financial modernization despite an 80 billion dinar federal funding shortfall.

The KRG’s financial inclusion programme, MyAccount, continues to see steady growth.
This week, nearly 800,000 public sector employees and beneficiaries will be paid through partner banks — that’s nearly $500 million flowing through the financial services sector.
The banked population has now grown significantly too, especially when you consider it was less than 5% before MyAccount.
Deposits across the banking sector have also continued to stabilise above 10%.
Our thanks go to our partner banks for their continued investment in ATM infrastructure, call centres, applications, retail operations and new branches. The banks have now deployed 600 new ATMs in public areas, placing cash access within five minutes of most public sector employees.
We’re especially pleased that satisfaction levels are highest among pensioners, reflecting the programme’s impact on some of the most vulnerable beneficiaries.
Lastly, thanks to MyAccount and the strong team behind it, tens of thousands of banked citizens now pay their electricity bills in seconds through @epsule_payments.

Prime Minister @masrourbarzani will lead a significant delegation to Baghdad for G2G talks next week.
We will offer the KRG’s unique experience with the 24-hour Runaki programme to the new federal government, including technical assistance and access to our technology to accelerate Prime Minister Al-Zaidi’s ambitions for electricity sector reform.
Prime Minister @masrourbarzani will also follow up on security assurances to allow oil and gas companies in the Kurdistan Region to resume production and exports, potentially doubling Iraq’s export capacity to over 500K bpd.
Companies cannot be expected to resume operations amid the threat of drones in the skies.
A timely visit.
I am pleased to meet with President @RTErdogan at the Dolmabahçe Palace in Istanbul. We emphasized the importance of strengthening relations between Türkiye and the Kurdistan Region.
We also discussed efforts to form a new federal cabinet. We both hoped that the new federal cabinet will promote peace and stability in Iraq, serve all communities without discrimination, and resolve issues between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government on the basis of the Constitution.
On the peace process and the disarmament of the PKK, I reiterated my support for the process, and we stressed the importance of continuing the efforts to ensure its success and completion.
