My name is John, and I'm 26 years old. Growing up, I was baptized and raised in the Catholic faith, but my spiritual journey was anything but straightforward. I was taught to accept everything without question, yet I found myself wrestling with contradictions between what I learned in Catholic Mass and what I experienced in a non-denominational church with my mom and stepdad.
My childhood was marked by a tug-of-war between different religious teachings. My stepdad gave me a Bible, which opened my eyes to further contradictions, leading to tension with my biological father, who was rigid in his Catholic beliefs. This tension escalated into years of verbal and physical abuse from my father, which pushed me away from faith entirely.
By my teenage years, I had become an atheist, convinced by my own logic and the visible suffering around me that no benevolent God could exist. This period was dark; I hit rock bottom, attempting suicide multiple times, with one particularly harrowing incident on February 12, 2018, after which I miraculously survived a severe overdose.
Recovery from that point was slow, but a pivotal moment came when I revisited the Bible my parents had given me. Reading it again, not out of obligation but curiosity, sparked a reevaluation of my beliefs. Praying one day, I experienced an overwhelming peace and love that I hadn't felt in years, leading me to seek forgiveness and embrace Christianity anew.
Since then, my life has transformed. Becoming a born-again Christian has brought joy, peace, and purpose that I never knew before. This journey back to faith has been about daily engagement with scripture and prayer, and I've seen incredible changes in my life because of it.
I'm still learning, still growing, but my goal is to draw closer to God each day and to share this hope with others. If my story can help even one person find their way back to faith, then I believe it's worth sharing.
@Steub_ Don't ask me why because I don't even know, but 102 is my favorite number.
Besides that, 48 is my other favorite number and Bowman the Showman is in it.
@reddickfan4888@ham11in People really love to forget that Bowman was really fast that race and was actually a contender. He wouldn't have been in 2nd and been able to capitalize if he wasn't fast.
@JordanAmblin I'd say it was on purpose because the actual broadcasts around the time the movie came out were like this too😅, sometimes they were perfect, other times they were so far off it would look like they were following the wrong car
@tarpscff It's about time, it took 3 years from his third recent video to his second recent video, so he should post any month now
(Because I see other people not understanding, this is a joke and I'm playing along with it)
@jahluver@psychedalex68 I think they should replace Harris and keep Bowman. Ally loves him, and he can win with a good car. He's just not getting good cars.
@No1btr1@psychedalex68 His finishes have gotten worse with Harris, yet he was still able to get two 3rd place finishes this season.
Someone who is a bad driver might luck into one at the drafting tracks, but definitely wouldn't be able to follow it up with the same finish on a 1.5 mile track.
@___TheGOOdWitch "Buy a Bible, don't read it, and you'll be a Catholic or Athiest.
Buy a Bible, read only what suits you and you will be an Evangelical.
Buy a Bible, read it fully, analyze it, reason it, and you will be a Chrisrian."
Fixed it for you, no need to thank me.
@ThinkingAtheist This isn't the "gotcha" you think it is.
God is not a "thing." God created everything. God is the eternal creator. Eternal means He has no beginning or end. He has no creator.
"The Thinking Athiest," now THAT's a contradiction, especially if you think this is a good argument.
@cabanascar42 People are just quick to assume that he's going to leave so their favorite driver can take his seat and forget conveniently that Ally is behind him so as long as they stay, he's got a ride.
@Remi9Taiwo With my wife and I, after being with each other for over two years, we are still on the first level. If it's real love and you work on it continually, it will never get to the "over year" point.
@THE_Duck_Man21 I doubt we'll see them in Cup next year, I think everything is lining up for a 2028 debut. Unless they already have their car and engine built and are just waiting for NASCAR's approval, 2027 is a long shot.
@Edercomoriginal@THE_Duck_Man21 I've read that the Hemi is coming back to the Charger, so they should be fine there, but even if they don't, the Camry has never been a V8, yet it's racing in Cup. I just don't think Dodge will get it ready for 2027 though.
@23XI45CAR To be fair, people said the same thing about Johnson through every single summer stretch when his finishes would drop before getting red hot again when the chase came.
@boetel_nathan@STaranto92@_AustinHill@RCRracing There's only a limit for cup drivers with 4 full seasons on how many lower series races they can run, Hill can run the rest of the year in this car and be alright.
@samh8876 I've noticed a lot of people recently have felt so big and tough that they will reply and then block because they can't handle the possibility of being wrong and having someone reply to them.
Can't say I'm surprised.
@Scott_Tack24@jeff_gluck I'm surprised too, but I'm glad they are with family who will be comforting them instead of at the house alone while everyone else they know is at the track racing.
