i wanted to fully translate the “need your company” segment from chaewon’s appearance on lee mujin service because the official subtitles missed a lot of nuances, especially the moment lee mujin reacted to the title: “우리 어떻게 더 사귈 수 있을까.”

i reached out to @womenhuh1 to double check the wording because i wanted the translation to be as accurate as possible 🤍

breaking it down:

우리 = we/us
어떻게 = how
더 = more / longer / further
사귀다 = date / be together
수 있을까 = can we / could we

so while there are a few ways to interpret it, the translation we felt captured the emotion best was:

“how can we continue being together longer?”

and honestly… seeing lee mujin pause after hearing the title makes so much sense now.

and the fact that chaewon also said she sang the song as a surprise for yunjin 🥹
