We have loved playing games like this this week. We learnt how to write a sentence by rearranging words, capital letters, finger spaces and full stops into the correct order. Miss Adamson kept getting it wrong which made us very frustrated but eager to teacher her the correct way
Mrs Wilcocks has been working really hard with a group of children helping them to develop their skipping skills. It has been great for writing development and we have seen a massive improvement already.
Oh my gosh! When we came to read our story today we noticed that all of the words and pictures had disappeared! We used clues to help us to re-write the story because nursery really wanted to read it in the afternoon...thankfully we found a box of clues to help us. #comprehension
Problem solving, when one child wants the reel in the centre of the blocks it’s time to think critically and figure out a way we can make this happen....the children did it! They took everyone’s choices into consideration and ended up creating a fantastic structure.
A week of celebrating our similarities and differences. Talking about our religions, cultures and celebrations. It’s so important for children so young to understand that there are many different ways of life and have a strong understanding of their cultures and beliefs.
Estimating - making sure we make sensible guesses, working in pairs, using number lines and practicing number formation. All in one lesson and all of the children did great 👍⭐️
Today we looked at different religions and celebrations that we have in our class. We brought things in from home to help us talk about our religion or celebrations.
What are you up to this weekend. It’s a quiet and cosy day in here in Miss Adamson’s house. Dogs are all happy and resting whilst miss Adamson is doing work ready for an exciting ‘Super’ week ahead. Post photos in the comments on what you are doing!
Autumn is a beautiful time of year...it might be cold outside but when you are suited and booted you can explore nature at its best. Just look at their smiles, pride, concentration and amazement.
Using counting frames to represent numbers in different ways. Realising that no matter how you arrange the blocks you still have the same amount. Super maths work to end a super week !
What’s the best way to understand what an audition is?
By taking part in audition of course! It also turned out to be the most fun way too. Building confidence, deepening understanding and learning through play.
Winning area of provision this week! The theatre the children made, complete with a real stage and microphone, has proven extremely popular. We have had Batman doing the worm, singing, speeches, the floss and more! Mrs Wilcocks jokes didn’t get the response she wanted though 🤣🙈
