There must be, however, companies seem to do this over and over. It's not good in any situation but can be even worse when an applicant has spent time/effort on a pretend pitch, ideas and so forth.
What can be done to change it? and which companies do it well? :)
Do you think recruitment teams really understand how applicants feel when they get a radio silence, especially after an interview? Leaving people hanging on for weeks is really unfair. I hear this happening so much. There must be a way to improve the process #mediajobs
@themediamentor Actually 3, which was incredibly frustrating and hypocritical - wrote to them and got a response/phone call but it's not on when it could be so easy to respond.
*sigh
@themediamentor 2/2 in the role/job people do and so much more. When it's not done right, an already stressful time, can become even more stressful, impacted peoples mental health, self worth and so on.

I worked for 22hrs 50mins, rode 105 miles, did 27 drop offs and earned £120.38.
That works out at £5.28 an hour🧵

@themediamentor With regards to a recruitment team understanding, it's tricky to say, many have a stable job and are the ones doing the asking.
It could be desensitization, when you're recruiting many and dealing with lots of candidates, the 'thoughts' of one can be overlooked.
@themediamentor I have literally stopped sharing job opportunities on my 300+ mailing list because failing to communicate with applicants at all, even acknowledge receipt, has become the norm - at the same time as the application process has become so much more demanding.
