just here to talk tech! ☕️

[Reece @RecetTech]

@BasicAppleGuy Pretty confident beta 5 will reverse this decision. They’ve proven before they see the feedback and this was definitely a swing and a miss

[Reece @RecetTech]

@DylanMcD8 I thought this at first, but when you think of this a 7” 1080p screen, that, a lot of the time, you’ll be viewing from a distance, it doesn’t seem as bad.

[Reece @RecetTech]

@rsgnl The only reason I would be slightly concerned about this is in the bedroom at night, but I imagine this is why they advertised the 0.3 nit minimum brightness. Otherwise, LCD is fine imo

[Reece @RecetTech]

@rsgnl I thought I was the only one crazy enough to be more excited about this than the duo

[Reece @RecetTech]

@SnazzyLabs Was hoping these would undercut Nest which have always carried a premium. That dream was short lived 😂

[John Ternus @johnternus]

Welcome HomeView

[Reece @RecetTech]

@rsgnl Because of the 6 inch screen I wouldn’t be surprised they dubbed it a “mini” version for the larger version to come in the future. Super excited to see this stuff finally!

[Reece @RecetTech]

@DylanMcD8 I think the rumoured 6” display size is also too small for a “pad” I’m thinking it’s going to be called something like Apple Hub.

[Reece @RecetTech]

@zollotech So excited for this, these updates are long overdue!

[Reece @RecetTech]

Apple Event for the new Home Hub has finally been announced! Welcome Home, 13th October!

[Greg Joswiak @gregjoz]

Welcome home. October 13.

[Reece @RecetTech]

@aaronp613 I’ve not been this excited for an Apple event in years!

[Reece @RecetTech]

@jaredmecham Timing is less than ideal given the privacy scandal, unfortunate because if this was a few months ago I would have been really interested. Now a lot more hesitant.

[Reece @RecetTech]

@rsgnl It’s hard to believe that Apple would reveal a whole new product category in a press release but looking more and more like that’s the case. I’m expecting reveal videos similar to the Mac mini redesign

[Reece @RecetTech]

Strange how 2 year old software can look archaic so fast!

[💾 @jvepng]

iOS 18 / iOS 27

[Reece @RecetTech]

@ParkerOrtolani The white ceramic is so clean!

[Reece @RecetTech]

@LeakerApple IF this is true, this may just sway me to consider one. This my absolute biggest issue with foldables.

[Mark Gurman @markgurman]

NEW: Apple - in an unusual partnership with LG - is readying a Doorbell, Deadbolt Lock, Thermostat, Indoor Camera, Outdoor Camera, Floodlight Camera and more to rival Amazon and Google as part of its major smart home reboot. https://t.co/38pmnpaRSr

[Reece @RecetTech]

@VerdeSelvans Really hoping they go with titanium, I have a 15 Pro I run without a case. Don’t think I’d want to run that risk with an aluminium phone. Hopefully they can figure something out with regards to thermals!

[Reece @RecetTech]

@nandoprince93 @9to5mac @Kuxiutech How do you find the new film styles? They look amazing from what I’ve seen.
