This is exactly how I feel about the situation. Ppl trip me out thinking that rings/chips are the only identifiers of “winning”. Win or lose - Ja and the Grizzlies have the culture, excitement and AURA! NBA’s hype news/talk is always surrounded by Ja. Good and bad. HE’S HIM🤷🏽‍♀️!!!!

espn and major sports media devoted think pieces and headliners criticizing ja morant’s character and even the NBA itself fined him for doing a celebration, that NUMEROUS other players in the league did without scrutiny, and when shai does it it’s “aura”.

you can post stats, you can point out poor performances selectively, but you can’t deny that the league tried to make an example out of ja morant and completely dimmed his light and held him to an unfair standard for *legally* possessing a firearm.
