Interesting write up about the @RecogRewards meeting
Key points for me:
- there needs to be reliability, especially for younger scientists
- the #RecogRewards process has to be international
- #RecogRewards can't mean that we need to be Jacks-of-all-Trades

Last week we engaged in dialogue with several academics. During discussing elements hindering the progress of #RecognitionRewards, an interesting and important question arose: 'How can we be creative in making hidden power mechanisms more open and transparent?'
โWe will only make progress with crystal clear criteriaโ
As far as @MaastrichtU Professor Lies Wesseling is concerned, #RecognitionRewards has too many complex elements.

Recognising and rewarding academic staff not only on their individual performance, but also on the contribution they make from their own expertise to the collective, team, etc. That is what we aim for.
During the Recognition & Rewards Festival, we will zoom in on this. We will discuss concrete examples and opportunities. We will look at a team-oriented mindset and concrete tools to put R&R into practice within teams. We also look at what role leadership plays in this.
