Toccata does not just add smart contracts to Kaspa. It creates the infrastructure for a specific type of application architecture: based ZK apps.

17 days until Toccata activates OpZkPrecompile, Covenant IDs, transaction introspection, and partitioned sequencing on mainnet.
v2.0.0 is released. The activation logic is deployed. Node operators are upgrading.
What gets built on top is the next chapter.

The structural advantage over EVM based approaches:
EVM chains execute all logic on L1. This creates congestion, high fees, and MEV.
Based ZK on Kaspa separates execution from verification. L1 stays lean. Applications scale independently. Settlement remains fast and deterministic at 10 BPS.
Assets are created natively. Rules become expressible. Proofs become verifiable.
1,449 average daily transactions on an L2 that's still operating ahead of Toccata's native programmability upgrade. Steady growth at 133K transactions over 3 months while the base layer hasn't even unlocked Covenants yet.

@kaspaunchained PR #65 is still in draft, blocked by a dependency on rusty kaspa #1047. IzioDev's warning is clear, don't use it yet. Wait for the official release on the kaspa ng GitHub releases page. The upgrade path will be ready before June 30. Patience over speed.
