The seals only limit the range of his power not his actual overall power itself
If they eliminated his power he wouldn't have been able to put Yhwach under hypnosis in the first place as he was completely sealed when they met (1/2)

when he grabbed one it was a blank asauchi and when it finally imprinted he thought that was his shikai releasing
And given how strong he was no one questioned it

Replays go down to 3-5 hours
Capcom games in general have pretty much always been short and are more about replayability
