🗳️ Before Election Day:
Visit a Vote Center with your valid ID to check in and have your identity verified in person. This allows your early ballot to move to tabulation without going through the signature verification process.

On Election Day:
Bring your early ballot to a Vote Center, check in with your valid ID, and tabulate your ballot on site.

📮 Prefer to drop it off?
You can still return your early ballot at a secure drop box, just like usual.

📬 You can also return your ballot by mail. It is recommended you mail your ballot by October 27, 2026, to allow sufficient time for it to be received before the election.

RECORDER HEAP: FOUR-WEEK DPOC DISPUTE RESOLVED AFTER CITIZENSHIP DOCUMENTATION PRESENTED TO COURT, AG DISMISSES COMPLAINT

Maricopa County Recorder Justin Heap announced today the resolution of Attorney General Kris Mayes' lawsuit concerning 24 voters placed in pending Documentary Proof of Citizenship (DPOC) status. The resolution follows four weeks of requests for legally sufficient citizenship verification from the Maricopa County Attorney's Office.

🚨EQUIPOS DE R3 EN ACCIÓN: ¡UNA RESPUESTA RÁPIDA HA PERMITIDO QUE EL CENTRO DE VOTACIÓN DE ASU WEST VUELVA A FUNCIONAR EN UN TIEMPO RÉCORD!

Ayer, nuestro centro de votación de ASU West dejó de funcionar debido a un corte de electricidad y, posteriormente, se nos informó de que la electricidad tampoco se restablecería hoy. En consecuencia, decidimos mantener cerrado el centro de votación un día más e informamos a nuestro personal electoral. 🚨 R3 TEAMS IN ACTION: RAPID RESPONSE GETS ASU WEST VOTE CENTER BACK UP AND RUNNING IN RECORD TIME!

Yesterday, our vote center at ASU West went offline due to a loss of power, and we were subsequently informed that power would not be restored today, either. Accordingly, we planned to keep the vote center closed one more day and informed our poll workers. Then, at 9:30 this morning, power was restored ahead of schedule. Within 30 minutes, one of our office’s new R3 (Recorder’s Rapid Response) Teams responded and opened the poll. Once the regular poll workers arrived, the R3 Team turned operations over to them.

R3 Teams are a new creation of the Recorder’s Office this year. Three teams are stationed at key positions throughout the county with trained poll workers and additional equipment ready to deploy at a moment’s notice to assist with everything from a situation like this one, or to quickly reducing overflow lines should they form.

This is just one of many examples of the new forward-thinking and problem-solving processes Recorder Heap has implemented for this election.
