@LifeOfMacca @BigTA78 @everambr_dan @daisychristo Why was it correct? How do you know? You can't be sure based on the footage provided by the VAR so how can you know?
@LifeOfMacca @BigTA78 @everambr_dan @daisychristo Can you provide any arguments for why you don't think any of the critic's arguments are not valid? I couldn't care less about ManU or Coventry so there's really nothing for me to cry about. All I'm thinking questioning whether this technology is the best for the sport in general.
@Shannz1987@JakeWStephens91@ChrisGuyW12 Agreed, in those situations, offside can not be properly judged using the technology deployed in the stadium. Considering low frame rates, how do you know which frame shows the "right" shot? Also, what is the "right" shot?
@LifeOfMacca @BigTA78 @everambr_dan @daisychristo Offside indeed is a binary decision. However, what he and the rest of the critics are doubting is the technology used to judge these decisions. Often, the players are so close to each other that being offside is indistinguishable from being onside considering low frame rates, etc
@itaintthebest@lurkaroundfind@dylanleclair We're obviously not talking about the private sector here. But somewhat proving the point. The US state used to be a key driver for innovation through NASA and MIC โ Space Travel, internet, etc.. They are now heavily outcompeted no matter how much money they throw at it
@lurkaroundfind@dylanleclair Please show how that money is going towards total US dominance. I see Social Security, infrastructure, military maintenance and non-discretionary spending everywhere. The US is hardly innovating and is on a tragic trajectory, doomed to wipe out every citizens hard-earned savings.
