@HarrietLerner So true, but when you have adhd it is HARD WORK to say it shorter. I practice this and still over explain everything. Recently, I've started laughing at myself when I catch how much I'm overthinking things because of how verbose I am at times.

Intention - lately my intention has been to love myself & accept the love the universe sends my way. I realized that by not allowing others to be there for me, I am robbing them of part of what makes them feel special. Let someone love you today even if you allow it for them.

@MyndTease By asking myself what I did, what the true motivation was, what was the negative thought or self belief that caused by poor action, then apologizing and trying not to repeat the same mistake.

I learned about shame shots I got addicted to feeling shame as a way to keep my distance from others so as not to get rejected or abandoned, so I engaged in behaviors that lead to self-defeating thoughts then to arguments and ultimately to shame ick

Yeh that’s right today marks 2030 continuous days clean and sober
And the last 10 days what I have been through I could have easily said FUCK IT and through the towel in

But I never I kept keeping on because I know deep down picking up the FIRST DRINK & it’s game over

@FaithDRecovery When a person sins it's because they have strayed away from our non-punishing God God's forgiveness will set sinners free when they move back towards God The part of us that wants justice isn't a godlike part of us If we want justice, we have strayed from living in God's image

Alcoholism ruins lives It steals everything from its victims Understand, when drinking, your loved one has no choice They need to be sober to make choices They will lie, fabricate believable stories, and make you think they are fine Don't believe them They need you!
