A choir of singers from the North of England who sing an annual weekend of services in Ripon Cathedral and a few Evensongs in churches who want to invite us

Just 2 weeks to our Choral Evensong in St Mary's, Arkengarthdale as @SwaleFest service on 5 June. Starts at 4pm so still time to go to evening concert afterwards.
Music includes RVW's O taste and see as tribute to both Platinum Jubilee and RVW 150th anniversary.

An emotional evening last night for Bach's St Matthew Passion.

We also had the pleasure of singing the beautiful and poignant Ukrainian National Anthem.

Over £400 was raised to support Ukrainian relief efforts.

Thank you to all involved in the concert and those who donated.

[Rectory Chorale @RectoryChorale]

We'll be there singing a magnificent Choral as the Festival Service and you don't need a ticket for that. (Last time we did CE as the Festival service the church was almost full #StMary's ,#Arkengarthdale ,#RVW

Just as a reminder - 3 peppercorns= 1inch.

@Paul25318818 My guess is that it will simply be decriminalized and a few diehard #Brexiters will take advantage, but nobody under 50 will have a clue how Imperial measures work and it will just fizzle out. #Tories will still claim it as a #BrexitBenefit though!

[Rectory Chorale @RectoryChorale]

Yes we've walked it many times in our choir robes. It's a killer!

[Ripon Cathedral @riponcathedral]

At one time the cathedral would have been surrounded by walls and small gatehouses like this one, which leads down towards the river. This is the last surviving of the gates, which offers a beautiful vantage point.

2 is OK. Only 6+ that risks the health of the nation - and does a bus count as indoors or out?

Please read and share.

[Rectory Chorale @RectoryChorale]

This looks amazing by a very special choir.

[Barnsley Youth Choir @BarnsleyChoir]

Half of the @bycsenior (the ones allowed who were under 18) sing together for the first time in 14 months. A huge organisational task but worth every second of preparation. We’re so proud of their resilience, positivity and character.

[Rectory Chorale @RectoryChorale]

What's the betting it'll be "All restrictions removed other than that groups of more than 6 amateur singers must not sing together indoors."

[Rectory Chorale @RectoryChorale]

It would be great for Rectory Chorale to salvage a few bookings for Choral Evensong this summer or even just meet to sing together again if we can find a venue .

[David Hill @davidhconductor]

It’s vital we find paths which will lead everyone back to #singing in whatever sized groups in late June. Working with @DCMS and other bodies MUST happen in the coming weeks. Write to local MP and anything which will assist 40 thousand choirs to return to singing SAFELY.
