Former conservative evangelical christian republican. Now, a much happier liberal secular humanist making up for lost time. Despiser of all things trump.
@ThinkingAtheist My pastor dad showed the rapture movie, "A Thief in the Night " at church. I was 9 and terrified. The next day I came home from school and there was a pot boiling on the stove but mom was not in the house, and she was ALWAYS home at that time. Had my first full on panic attack.
@ADHDForReal As a person diagnosed in my 40s, so many times your posts have been an "aha" moment for me - like another piece in the atypical puzzle of my life . Thank you for putting the time and effort into this account...you are appreciated by so many♥️
@__aryan07_@HaroldPerrineau@mgmplus@davealpay 100% agree. The story, the characters - all amazing. A lot of series you watch and pretty much forget, but this one sticks with you. It is horror, yes- but also a fascinating study on the human psyche.
@Tenenbaum1017 Me too! I performed on the squares in the Villages for years and met plenty of Trump crazies. I am so excited to see the Dems coming out of the woodwork there!
@atrupar I don't know if they still have them, but when I lived in Ca my guilty pleasure was their greasy deep fried tacos. My family referred to them as "potted meat tacos". Each individual thing about them was gross, but put it all together and they morph into bizarrely delicious.
@PurpleHound3@dieworkwear Sorry, I should have said "as seemingly inconsequential as menswear" because lucky for men burkas are never required and they never have to face the soul crushing experience of shopping for a bikini.
@jeffpearlman As someone who recently taught middle school in Florida, I can honestly say I would be more concerned with a student tackling a teacher and taking their gun. I'm an old, 5'2 female with arthritis and many of my students towered over me. This is a very, very bad idea.
@McClureShawn The seeds to my deconversion were planted when I taught a Christian apologetics course to a group of homeschooling teens. A few years later, at 43, I deconverted after growing up a pastor's daughter and then being a pastor's wife for 21 years.
@ZachWLambert Yes. The theory was the safety of water was iffy, so they were forced to ferment it. Having unfermented fresh, delicious grape juice was preferred. Which makes so much sense because half drunk people are always clamoring for "fresh, delicious grape juice" right?
@JennaEllisEsq And if you keep posting ignorant, superstitious beliefs as an excuse for your vile behavior, you'll continue to be confronted with actual reality.
