@neil_macaulay Well deserved. Seeing your signs this morning cheered me right up, just sorry we didn't get chance to buy anything. Glad it went well and you spent the takings wisely x
Just listened to Hannah Spencer's victory speech following yesterday's by election. It seems that socialism isn't dead. It does appear however, to have changed colour. Well done Hannah and the people of Gorton and Denton. https://t.co/kp1wgYOno6
I’m European. Apparently my life is bad. In reality, I have:
Vaccines.
Clean tap water.
Public transport.
Enforceable rights.
Food safety as a baseline.
Healthcare that doesn’t lead to bankruptcy.
And I don’t need to carry a concealed weapon to walk my dogs.
I don't give a flamin' damn whether Maccabi fans or Jewish or not. There's a sizeable element amongst them who are violent thugs intent on inciting racism. We don't want them in our football stadiums or on our streets
.@UKLabour need to tax the rich and close down loopholes that enable corporations to evade the tax they should be paying. There is no good moral or financial argument for making disabled and vulnerable people pay the price to protect the wealth of the super rich.

Right I know I'm a bit drunk and earlier I said I'm feeling a bit tetchy, but
No I don't want a peri-menopause app for my phone
No I don't want a menopause app for my phone
No II don't want a post-menopause app for my phone
Just leave me and my flamin' phone a-f***ing-lone
Was part of an interesting conversation at the gym this morning. Apparently (alcoholic content aside) you can have three rums (or vodka) and pepsi max for the same calories as a glass of wine. Now there's a Saturday night challenge if ever I saw one.
Putting Streeting and Milburn in charge of the NHS is a clear indication by @UKLabour that the private sector is being enabled to pick off all the elements of you healthcare that they can convert into profit. It gives a whole new meaning to a party on the 'side of business'.
Let's be honest. Working a stressful job for low pay is far more likely to be a cause of poor mental health than a cure. Rather than cutting benefits, let's make employers improve working conditions and pay people properly..... and we could even them them pay their taxes!
"There's an over-diagnosis [of mental heath problems]"
Heath Secretary Wes Streeting says "there are too many people being written off" from work with mental health issues and "too many people aren't getting the support they need"

@ThePosieParker@LWSNorthEast Thanks to this fella for being an ally and protecting safe spaces for all women. Just because you keep your voice calm and act like victims doesn't mean you aren't spreading hate. Women need to stand together with our allies to make sure we can all blossom and grow
Had a lovely morning in the sunshine celebrating #InternationalWomensDay with these wonderful women from @StocktonNLabour All detrmined to make the world a better place for everyone
