Nxt mnth during our school holidays in New Zealand we have ANZAC day. I gave each of my students (12-13 yr olds) a cpy of ‘White Bird’ to rd . Previously, 3 of my stdnts admitted thy didn’t like rdg & didn’t finish books. All 3 😍d & fnshd it. Thnk u

If kids are reading for pleasure, they don't need to catch up... THEY'RE ALREADY AHEAD! Reading for pleasure has the biggest positive impact of any factor on children's life chances. So please: encourage them to read books they really want to read, and #literacy will follow!

Bought this for the classroom a few weeks ago after observing my students reading ‘Maybe He Just Likes You’.

It’s been 3 weeks and I don’t know who has it...but I do know that it’s been passed around and read cover2cover by at least 3 of my 13yr old stdnts. Thx @Barbaradee2
