America's racist rulers have long aimed to silence the voice of this former Black Panther and supporter of the MOVE organization. Mumia was framed up for the murder of Philadelphia Police Officer Daniel Faulkner on 9 December 1981 and sentenced to death explicitly for his political views. In 2011 the death sentence was overturned and Mumia was resentenced to life without parole. He is buried in prison despite a host of evidence proving his innocence. The fight to free Mumia, now 71, must be taken up and rebuilt by a new generation. His case must be a cornerstone of the fights against state repression and for black liberation and socialist revolution.
