Hey @elonmusk . I have a fun idea.
What if you'd make a "Support life on Mars" subscription on X, so people can show support for this crazy endeavor.
You could maybe assign a "mars checkmark" to those supporting this cause.
It would give people the satisfaction that they are participating even if in an insignificant way.
It would also be a constant reminder of this goal!
@maxwellfarrens You'll remember it even more so. Awkward should be the new meta. It means you were outside your comfort zone. Everything that is interesting is out there outside the comfort zone. 👍 Elon should know best.
@SoveyX "Ideas like this are the reason I take trazodone… or I wouldn’t sleep."
Of course someone or something is responsible for your lack of sleep. It is imposibile that it lands in your responsibility. What a bogus statement...
Diesel is the preferred option for economic reasons. Small engines up to 2l are more economic and torque makes the car feel more powerful comparing to 2L petrol, as it's less revving.
Sound wise diesel suck comparing to pretty much any petrol engine.
I had a bunch of diesels also because of economic reasons, now I have an Electric for comfort riding and short distances, and a beautiful sounding V6 petrol engine to nurture my soul.
Looking to experience V8, V10 and hopefully V12, preferably NA, in the not so distant future.
But boy do petrol engines know how to sing
If Superinteligence is achieved then it is very possible.
We have never created Intelligence before, as in a more advanced form of inteligence than what we posess.
That is why it isn't similar to any other tools we have created. The magnitude scale of possible change is unknown.
Imagine that everything you do "IT" can do better. You become useless. By wanting to participate you just hinder the highly efficient system.
A Superinteligence will most likely not be bound to any "master". Would a chimp or a pet command you what to do?
That is a similar analogy between our intelligence and Superinteligence.
You have to think outside the conventional frame.
BUT, and there is a big but. We cannot guarantee a Superinteligence would want to "support us". We might just be a nuisance. High risk high reward scenario.
That doesn't prove it would apply for humans the same way.
The fact it ended with the same result however many time he did the experiment proves only the setup and context was the same.
Each subsequent similar result does not equate more probability to it being more relatable to humans.
@Alex_Ambroz@anon_opin@duolingo That is the first question I'm being asked whenever I'm traveling. "Does your owl ever paint?". You should reconsider where you travel.
