If anyone has wondered where I've gone... I'm still here, just not HERE on Twitter. I'm mostly over on the blue app consisting of sky. If you're on there, let me know your handle so I can follow you! Likewise, I'm RedChu over there as well! π I miss y'all! π
My Twitch Streamer-versary is coming up fast. π Hard to believe it's been two years since hitting affiliate, and even harder to believe I haven't been active in over a year. π Maybe I should do a come back stream somehow lol #twitch
Here's the Aurora, or northern lights, from here in northern Indiana. Sadly, the clouds are starting to block our view, but it's still extremely beautiful.
I've been sick for the past 4 or so days... it's miserable. π The coughing, the stuffed up nose. I feel my chest rattling when I cough from the congestion now. Maybe it's a sign I'm getting better, or a sign that I'm dying. It's gotta be one of the two, right?!
Did a little concept drawing at work today for my game in one of the downtimes. It technically isn't the terrain and layout like I wanted to work on, but it's a start. #gamedev#indiedev
I've been working on my #gamedev project pretty much every day here lately -- mainly on the character controller and camera elements. Tonight, however, I'm shifting my focus to world and terrain building. I can't progress further without doing this first. #indiedev#gamedesign
I just finished recording my 3 hour game development session where I messed up my camera, fixed it, and then implemented a very basic and rudimentary interaction system. Here's a clip of the interactions which currently just prints a message to the output. #gamedev#indiedev
@freebranddon Haha. I'm not 100% sure what this project is going to be, but I don't think it's gonna be a battle royale shooter so that automatically makes it better than Fortnite, right?!
Guys... I think my third person camera is pretty much done? I'm excited because I'm actually happy with it, though I'm trying to resist the urge to rewrite it because it's not "perfect". π€£ What are your thoughts/suggestions? #gamedev#indiedev#screenshotsaturday
I got a very basic third person character controller built in Godot, finally. It's pretty choppy but I should be able to fix it. What do y'all think would make this better, though? I know it's hard to say with how basic it looks right now. #gamedev#indiedev
@RSHoelMoor @hillel@TheSnidr Don't tell me that. I've already switched from Godot to Unreal and back to Godot over the span of a couple days for my current project... now I'm tempted to go back to GM. π
@RSHoelMoor @hillel@TheSnidr This is something I've always wanted to do with GM, but never took the time to figure out how since GM6 and the old d3d days. Awesome work!
After working with UE5 for the past week and spending 5+ hours getting through tutorial videos, I've jumped back to Godot to see which I prefer. Honestly, working in Unreal made Godot a lot easier to work with. #gamedev#indiedev
I'm not switching projects every day: I'm just experimenting with new concepts. π₯Ή
That's what I'm telling myself so I don't feel too bad, at least. #gamedev#indiedev
