Host of the NSX Gaming Podcast. Lifelong gamer here, primarily Xbox these days but PS5 is quickly bringing back my love for playstation. #GameAndLetGame
@K__Med Ill never not find it weird that people think they should have input over how or when someone else spends their own money. Pre-ordering a game early is as simple as I know I want it, why not make the order now. Guess what, some people also pay their bills ahead of schedule.. whoa
@CWars119@nuhre_@RockstarGames Double that number, publusher gets just over 50% of retail price once you take out the retailers cut, platform holder licensing fees, and manufacturing and distribution costs.
@LookAtMyMeat1 $80 is honestly cheap for games today relative to their cost during my childhood. I get not wanting our favorite hobby to get more expensive, but any logical thought tells you they should honestly be at least $80 today and $100 would be more than fair.
@iamcomputer__ Windows skipped 9 to avoid coding issues that could potentially arise from apps looking for Windows 9 and finding the older 95/98 versions. They marketed it as a major leap worthy of the number skip. IPhone i have no idea
@SocialtyPro Thought it was close, but I had Strickland up 3-2. Khamzat didnt really accomplish anything with the takedowns he did get, Strickland landed the better strikes imo
@NintyPrime Bought it at launch for my kids, and they barely played. But I started bringing it to qork to play my friends on breaks a couple weeks ago and im having a freaking blast with it
@AustinAbbott I would counter this somewhat with the reports that they wanted Dart last year but the Giants traded in front of them to get him. Maybe they just weren't willing to lose a guy they wanted again.
@thicc_stick_boi Sony, always great with their marketing, did a great job marketing the ps5's strengths including that super fast ssd. But anyone that understands tech knew that any other device with a sufficiently fast ssd could do the same. It still is kind of owed to Sony and Microsoft tho
@JezCorden 100% disagree on this one Jez. The lighting advancements this will bring will give us near photorealism where devs want it. This will be just like the Switch to digital or dlss1 or frame gen. Shit on at first, then widely accepted before it becomes the norm.
@_justthegems I bought Pokopia digitally for myself, but on key card for the kids. I think one aspect of the key card argument a lot of people dont think about is the number of multiswitch households in the world.
@Gamefan1992 Your math is actually off tho. The retail breakdown of a game sale differs between different stores/systems/publishers, but its reportedly around 15-30% for various retailers, and another 15% for the console manufacturer. So publishers pull just over half of the games cost
@ragan31687@Zuby_Tech Exactly. Imagine a game where he plays through stages from Spyro/Crash/tomb raider/metal gear for ps1, then bring in ratchet/jak and daxter/sly Cooper for ps2, resistance/uncharted/last of us for ps3, knack/Spider-Man/tsushima/horizon for ps4. It would be awesome
@PGATOUR2K I do indeed have a Nintendo Switch 2. More than happy with thepurchase especially after seeing the third party support shown in that partner direct.
@PaulTassi@Forbes In truth they cant. Not in the traditional sense, but they know that. Thats why theyre moving toward a console/pc hybrid. They'll target 10-15 millions sales and hit it easily while getting millions more into their ecosystem via cloud and third party releases on ps/nintendo
@ashishK_tweets Honestly really hoping it turns out he's just wearing Starks face to throw off the team. Would like it to be revealed later that he's actually a different actor altogether. Like when Colin Farrells character in Fantastic Beasts turned into Johnny Depps Grindewald
