“We do not understand Islam as these people understand it. We do not understand Islam as exploitation, injustice, and oppression. We do not understand Islam as the restriction of the freedom of peoples, the trampling of their dignity, and dependency on imperialist and reactionary forces. We do not understand Islam as an alliance with forces that want nothing but the woes, exploitation, and enslavement of peoples. We do not understand Islam this way; we understand Islam as a rejection and resistance to injustice, exploitation, oppression, and the exploitation of man by his fellow man.”
— Abdul Fattah Ismail, 1st General Secretary of the Yemeni Socialist Party, July 1978

❗️66 members (out of +-88) of Iran’s Assembly of Experts warned officials not to go against the Leader’s position in any negotiations or implementation of the reported Iran–US MoU.
The assembly of Expert is one of the most important council bodies of Iran.
In a 10-point report, they emphasise that officials must respect Ayatollah Khamenei’s red lines, not negotiate away Iran’s nuclear rights, respond immediately to any violations of the agreement, and avoid reopening the Strait of Hormoz while ‘Israel’ is still occupying & killing in Lebanon.
They also demand compensation, return of frozen assets, sanctions relief, and US withdrawal from the region.
They say the US & Israel are continuing with their aggression and call for accountability and revenge for the martyred Leader.
They explicitely warned officials not to present Iran as weak, and say the public must stay present and united until the Leader decides otherwise.
Article 13 of the Agreement Lebanon signed with Israel forbids Lebanon from ever pursuing legal action against Israel for any and all war crimes committed against our people. This is betrayal of the highest order.

Former Syrian Grand Mufti Ahmed Badr al-Din Hassoun stands trial under HTS-led government
——
Former Syrian Grand Mufti Ahmad Badr al-Din Hassoun is standing trial under Syria's HTS-led government. Hassoun, a prominent Sunni religious figure in Syria, was brought blindfolded to his first court hearing in Damascus on Thursday.
Hassoun, who long advocated for national unity and publicly forgave the extremists who killed his son on the Idlib–Aleppo highway in 2011 "for the sake of the unity of the homeland," is facing charges including alleged complicity in war crimes and crimes against humanity, incitement to murder, and other offenses.
These include provoking civil war, abuse of influence, ties to the former Assad government, preaching to soldiers, praising military commanders, supporting the Russian and Iranian interventions, backing IRGC Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani, and his 2018 appeal urging the people of Idlib to "stop trusting the Turkish army and return to the embrace of the homeland."
Meanwhile, no judicial proceedings have been launched over the 2013 bombing that killed more than 40 people, including Umayyad Mosque imam Sheikh Mohammad Said Ramadan al-Bouti, while he was delivering a sermon at Al-Iman Mosque in Damascus.

Contrary to what Ukrainian nationalists tell you, Ukrainian culture and language flourished under Joseph Stalin. These are some of the things Stalin did to preserve and promote Ukrainian culture:
Mandatory use of Ukrainian in government was introduced. Government offices, Communist Party organs, and courts in Ukraine were required to conduct business in Ukrainian.
Russian-speaking officials were expected to learn Ukrainian. Language courses were organized for them, and government workers who could not demonstrate Ukrainian language proficiency risked losing their positions.
The Communist Party of Ukraine actively recruited ethnic Ukrainians and promoted Ukrainian speakers into leadership positions, dramatically changing the demographic makeup of the party.
The 1927 Kharkiv Orthographic Conference produced a codified Ukrainian orthography, known as the “Skrypnyk spelling,” which standardized written Ukrainian and clearly distinguished it from Russian. It was officially adopted in 1929.
By the late 1920s, the overwhelming majority of primary and secondary schools in Ukraine taught in Ukrainian. The proportion of Ukrainian-language schools rose dramatically, from less than half to over 80% in many areas.
Universities and technical institutes in Ukraine transitioned to Ukrainian as the primary language of instruction. New Ukrainian-language departments and faculties were also created.
Mass literacy campaigns across rural Ukraine were conducted in Ukrainian, bringing reading and writing to millions of peasants in their native language for the first time.
A massive publishing effort produced Ukrainian-language textbooks, curricula, and educational materials for all levels of schooling.
The 1920s saw a huge increase in Ukrainian-language books, journals, and newspapers. Ukrainian publishing output grew many times over compared to the Tsarist period.
Major newspapers, such as Visti VUTsVK, were published in Ukrainian. By the mid-1920s, Ukrainian-language newspapers dominated the press in the republic.
The 1920s also fostered a remarkable Ukrainian literary and artistic movement. Writers’ organizations such as VAPLITE, the Free Academy of Proletarian Literature, and Hart flourished, producing a generation of Ukrainian modernist writers, poets, and artists.
Ukrainian-language theatre companies were supported and expanded.
Ukrainian-language films were produced, including works by director Alexander Dovzhenko, whose film Zemlya, or Earth, released in 1930, became internationally acclaimed.
The Ukrainian Academy was expanded and funded, becoming a major center of Ukrainian linguistic, historical, and cultural scholarship. Under the leadership of figures such as Mykhailo Hrushevsky, it produced significant research on Ukrainian history and identity.
Hrushevsky, Ukraine’s greatest historian and former president of the Ukrainian People’s Republic, was invited to return to Soviet Ukraine in 1924 and was given resources to continue his historical research. This was a major gesture of cultural accommodation.
Folk music and traditional Ukrainian musical forms were studied, recorded, and promoted. Ethnographic expeditions collected Ukrainian songs and oral traditions.
A distinct Ukrainian avant-garde emerged in visual arts and architecture. Kharkiv, then the capital of Soviet Ukraine, became a center of Ukrainian modernism.
Commissar of Education Mykola Skrypnyk, who served from 1927 to 1933, was the chief architect of Ukrainization. Under his direction, Ukrainian was aggressively promoted in all spheres of public life, and the standardized Ukrainian alphabet was adopted. He remains the central figure of this period of cultural promotion.
We did not see the Lebanese army defending Lebanon, but rather we saw them suppressing the Lebanese people who rejected the surrender agreement to America and Israel.
This is not a Lebanese army, but an Israeli security apparatus.
The Lebanese government and army's sole mission is to protect Israel, while Hezbollah is the only defender of Lebanon. Therefore, the Lebanese government must be overthrown and Hezbollah must take control of Lebanon.
The American-Zionist-Saudi plan is to ignite a civil war in Lebanon and bring ISIS fighters from Syria into the war in Lebanon against Hezbollah under the pretext of protecting the legitimate (Zionist) Lebanese government.
