Look back at MV Carisbrooke Castle, pictured here unloading vehicles.

Built in 1959 by Thornycroft in Woolston, she was Red Funnel's first purpose-built car ferry, operating between Southampton and Cowes until 1974, when she was sold to operate in Naples.
