Last year, miHoYo copied my puzzle game Ouros in Zenless Zone Zero.
Because they are a recognized, billion-dollar studio and my game isn't well known, some people are now assuming that their version is the original, and mine is the clone.
I hope this video clears that up.
I appriciate that they address the extreme FOMO of the Weekender, and how people who work over weekends can't participate in them.
And they address by saying "Too bad...BUT, look at all the other time-limited activities you can do! (That won't give doubloons)"
A little later than planned following its recording in early May and the postponed Act 3, our latest Developer Update is now live. This video covers some of the game health improvements in tomorrow's update, tweaks to the Bilge Rats Weekender and some discussion of Doubloons:
@NikTek If you asked me? A stand-alone pirate Sandbox. It's not a perfect game, far from it, but I personally enjoy it. I still play it time to time and enjoy it enough to have several hundred hours of it by now.
@SeaOfThieves Also the fact that even if you do all Tasks and Events you can't afford a single "high value" (the curse & figurehead) item feels demotivating
@SeaOfThieves Throughout the entirety of the event we stole a doubloon crate twice. Both in one session.
The rest of the event was spent unsuccessfully looking for people doing the voyage. The few times we did find someone, we spawned too far away to intercept them.
