@GersonBorrero@nypost@NYCMayor Yes, corruption is the new social justice. I see it in Red Hook and Gowanus all the time. The more somebody rails against Trump the more they are really using the same playbook.
When Brisport first won, Red Hook was in his district. I publish the local paper and both myself and the community had a good relationship with Velmanette Montgomery, he he replaced. We never heard from him his whole time here. But he has a good rap, I guess.
When Jabari Brisport ran for City Council in 2017, he made it a key plank of his campaign to promise he would, if elected, forgo most of his government salary.
But Brisport quietly walked off that plank once he actually won election to public office. https://t.co/lrtUkFpWN2
@RossBarkan@DarializaforNY The dsa has fallen into the trap of winning or losing. What is really important is good governing. Of course elections are important, but it’s a big problem at the same time. Why not educate the voters, rather than propagandize them.
@powellAtlantic I’m sorry, but there needs to be more written about the PACT program. It bothers me that modern progressives write a whole population off. The Section 9 protections are important. Didn’t mean to offend.
My Statement on the Mayor’s Mamdani NYCHA Plan.
Public housing shouldn’t be treated like a financial instrument.
Fund Section 9 directly.
Save Section 9.
No to Privatization.
