The Red Lodge will re-open this year on Monday 19th June. Before then we will be dusting and cleaning all of the wood panelling and furniture, the same as all the past residents and their servants would have done.

Regretfully we have taken the decision to close Red Lodge & @HouseGeorgian early this year due to staff shortages. Work will continue behind the scenes to maintain the buildings & to ready them for opening in April 2023.
I had the Tudor knot garden at the Red Lodge to myself today (do visit the house and garden if you can - it’s free!). The design of the garden is inspired by the plasterwork on the ceiling of the main bedroom.
It's Bank Holiday Weekend! Don't worry, we'll be open as usual Saturday, Sunday AND Monday 11am - 4pm. We look forward to seeing you over the long weekend.
