@m4jorGonK@MBV4lentin3 As Iroh stated, this now becomes a story of two brothers fighting for power
Very likely causing Azula or Zuko to hold resentment for their uncle regardless of the outcome; either he’s weak or an asshole here.
To them, the fire nation was never “Bad” at this point, keep in mind.
@m4jorGonK@MBV4lentin3 This forces us to enter an area of pure speculation as it’s an alternative story.
But, if Ozai was challenged Iroh now places the entire nation on a coin flip (basically), and this sends a whole new messages to the kids of the nation, including Azula & Zuko; for worse IMO
@m4jorGonK added the avatar part as flavor, he was always gonna go against the FN
His main goal of changing the fire nation at first was by changing the heirs heart (Zuko)
Iroh knew politics and was already aligning himself with the white lotus, so he plotted behind the scenes
@m4jorGonK Exactly, years later;
Ozai already succeeded in usurping him, even if he found out his brother killed their dead by then he couldn’t do anything without hard evidence.
It’d be futile
Which is why he makes his life mission to break his families cycle and help the avatar win.
@MBV4lentin3@m4jorGonK He didn’t KNOW or see his brother “steal” anything, cause he didn’t suspect it; he was too busy being in a depressive stupor.
He just lost a 3 year war and his son, he was told he lost his right to the throne while on the road with this weight.
What are you guys missing?
@MBV4lentin3@m4jorGonK OPs claiming Iroh knew his brother was evil enough to kill their own father, I’m debasing that by saying it’s canon that Iroh didn’t suspect his brother of something treacherous like killing their own father.
Once he did put 2&2 together, Ozai already succeeded him
@HumbleKatsu@mathew_poynter That’s when he knows how much the FN has fallen as the crowd cheered for his brother to abuse his own kid.
So he makes his life’s mission to help the avatar take down his own country, and break his families cycle by guiding his nephew.
@HumbleKatsu@mathew_poynter No, his son’s death isn’t why he showed remorse; but it did help lead to it.
His depressive stupor led him around the world only to then learn everything he was taught was a lie, thats when he goes back to the FN; only to see his bro fuck up his own son.
@NopeSignal Don’t even need to be working at the theaters, just need a normal social life
Idk who hasn’t brought a group of friends to a showing for a big movie near its last days in theaters, but they’re usually empty and perfect to fuck around and chill with friends.
Smoking drinking w/e
@m4jorGonK 0 chance, Mai’s uncle is the one who runs it.
We all know she’ll still get massive perks, including Ty; and she cares to much for both to turn on Azula for just arresting Mai.
@blutaraarchive She isn’t the first person to give him a chance, it’s Aang who believes this instantly cause he thinks everyone has good.
He had to be the one to fight alongside katara because it’s his people who ruined Kataras entire existence, and he’s trying to change that.
@azulaservant His character arc is that he already went through the development Zuko is currently going through;
His whole purpose at this point is to break his families cycle, to fix the evil he’s done by stopping that violent cycle, and he’s funny/not even real
Boba fett is one of the most loved characters ever and that MFer had less screen time then Mai,
wtf are you on about? Go focus on the K-drama y’all got going on lol
Gente, vocês nunca gostaram da Mai, nunca se importaram com a personagem, parem de fingir que isso é algo importante para ser levado em pauta, não é como se ela tivesse uma temporada para focar nela, totalmente secundária
@m4jorGonK The usurping all occurs while he’s still on the field grieving his son’s death, and a fail war that lasted around 3 years.
He shortly after learns he lost his right to the throne with his failure in battle and the death of his only heir.
Shortly after he’s told his dads dead
@m4jorGonK You can say that he should’ve known all you want, but what’s canon is he believed it and was in a bad state of mind from hearing his son’s death.
He wasn’t concerned with anything else cause of his depression.
Only thing we don’t know is WHEN he found out.
@Lockst3p@m4jorGonK It’s not even that he didn’t fight for the throne, he was still in the EK when he got the news that his fathers gave his brother the throne for losing his only son, which he then finds out shortly after his dad died.
To depressed, he doesn’t connect the dots until he’s on “tour”
