A grown man from Portugal contacted someone he believed was a 14-year-old girl..

Within minutes, he lied about his age.
He claimed he was a 16-year-old boy called Alex.

He then sent sexually explicit messages, shared pornography, and asked the child to send pictures of herself in the bath.

Let's be absolutely clear..

He wasn't arrested because a real child escaped harm. He was arrested because the child never existed.

The only thing standing between this man and a vulnerable young girl was a decoy account.
