@tbuptown There is not a single game in this WC to suggest that Rogers is worth more than £70m, let alone £117m. He is a good talent, but too pedestrian. If all you want to do ball-carry and shoot then the best you are in a big team is a super-sub not a £117m player.
@EduardoHagn This is going to be another Eze Havertz positional dilemma. Currently he isn’t a winger and the attacking midfield is packed with Ødegaard and Eze. Fans will be in constant debate as to where his best position is. I don’t want that.
@EduardoHagn@Nieuwsblad_be Lucas Digne
Tielemanns
Manzanmbi
Andrey Santos
All these players were secured within a matter of days. We have been pursuing a player from the Belgian league for a month.
I dont even mind Tzolis, looks like a really good technical footballer, my issue is that you're then making Morgan Rogers your main LW/Attacking target on top of that. Honestly disastrous, this is how you set your project back or at least stall it. Havertz midfield all over again
Arsenal are always late to the party, we always arrive after the fact. We're chasing Rogers for 130m to play him out of position cause he spams finesse shots when a guy like this is available. Infuriating.
@EduardoHagn@Plettigoal Telemanns and Digne being sold will most likely make Villa more stubborn about selling Rogers. Manzambi going to Villa will make Newcastle more stubborn.
Eze's issues aren't quality related, he is supremely gifted technically with great physical qualities to elevate his style if he wants. Issue is he lacks intensity in his game, he rarely gets out of 1st gear, maybe its a symptom of being the most talented all stages of his career
@afctag@TomCantonMedia@Football_LDN Eze offers almost all the mentioned qualities. My issue is that we are an elite side who dominate opponents with possession. Is it not unwise to get another player who only thrives the same way Eze does?
@TomCantonMedia@Football_LDN He comes with long range shooting😄. We do not need another Eze maverick who is only good at being a super sub rather than 90min footballer. It works for a team like Villa because they have to play dice with the ball and hope something sticks. But a £130 player must offer more.
@DailyAFC@MiguelDelaney It does appear that majority of the fan base do not rate Rogers. In a sense that he is not coming in to solve a specific problem to a world class standard.
@rlley00158056@OperationDudula I would pay an extra R5 for the price of petrol if it means cutting ties with Nigeria. There are exceptions, but they are mostly a liability to the world.
We support a full ban of Nigerians and cutting of all diplomatic ties with Nigeria
We have not benefited in anyway from
engaging with this failed jungle of a country
We will also continue to lobby for our government to do the same and join the world wide ban on Nigerians
