I'm in Peru for 3 weeks and Graham Platner dropped out of the Maine Senate race, Lindsay Graham is gone, and there's a revolution in Azad Kashmir.
Weeks really do be decading, huh?
Andor did more damage to the Star Wars canon than any other Disney+ series. For instance, that time Season 2 randomly introduced a woman who can shoot fire blasts from her neck. Like seriously, what the fuck? Why does no one ever talk about this?
@thus4allthus Oh, hoy aprendí qué significa "meramente." ¡Gracias! Y sí, no me gusta el uso de términos de clase como categorías morales. Es una capitulación ante la moral y la ideología burguesas.
When Cassian is arrested, he gives his name as Keef Girgo. The Empire never bothers to double check because they are trying to fulfill sentencing numbers under PORD.
On top of that, when you translate their court records from Aurebesh, they book him as "Keith Seymour". 1/2
@MaceAhWindu Given later development, I think this was a subconscious attempt to bury his trauma. The more he externalizes how much he believes in what he's done, the easier it is not to have to confront the reality of it.
“You just walk in like you belong.”
“They're so fat and satisfied, they can't imagine it… that someone like me would ever get inside their house, walk their floors, spit in their food, take their gear.”
Burnham is a careerist, an opportunist, and has made his position on austerity very clear. If you want a path toward socialism in the UK, join the @revcommunists. If you're in the US, that's @communistsus. Elsewhere, @revcomintern.
It would be refreshing if it weren't so unfortunate to see that the UK also has a "communist" party that supports capitalist politicians. You won't see Labour change direction under Burnham; that's as deluded as saying the Democrats could be a vehicle for socialism in the US.
EDITORIAL: If Burnham wins, it will weaken Starmer’s control and create a chance for a socialist agenda.
The government needs to change direction before the next election. We must use this opportunity to put pressure on the Westminster establishment from the outside.

The more I learn about education and what it means to be a teacher, the more convinced I become that capitalism is incompatible with effective, productive learning.
@Reik3r@ComradePepe_@lunarleahhhhh That kind of pragmatism is a core value of liberalism. The fetishization of what appears to be possible at this exact moment rather than preparing beyond that. The fact that a lot of workers feel compelled to vote for Democrats doesn't excuse supporting them as a party.
This might hit if Steyer was actually a class traitor. As it stands, he's just a billionaire member of the ruling class inserting himself directly into a system designed to protect his exploitation of workers.
Amazing exchange between Tom Steyer and Xavier Becerra :
“I’m the son of poor Mexican immigrants, the first in my family to go to college” Becerra said.
“You are a billionaire businessman, son of a Nuremberg prosecutor. We have nothing in common.”
“Perhaps we do”, responded Steyer
“We are both traitors to our class.”
