@ieatantz I grew up in California and we used to always find banana slugs in the woods. They love the damp redwood forests. I don't know if the novelty is that they are being found in typically dry areas, but if there are damp woods those guys flourish.

@Tusk_4Real I have found it to be the parents. I have tried to set them up for my son with his friends parents because the children asked. Divorced parents often refuse to not lose their time, some have strange requirements and rituals around their kids, others just have trust issues.

@bluewmist I do this all the time and it is spot on. I used to get in trouble and have been fired for speaking up. I do not expect to actually be heard by others from experience. Doing this allows me to work through the emotions I am feeling and not have to present them to others.
