Our amazing swimmers competed at Ponds Forge, Sheffield and won first state school for both freestyle and medley. Achieved getting throgh to the A final and finishing 7th in the country. Absolutely brilliant - well done. As Dory says - Just keep swimming.
Recent Sporting success! Children from y5/6 came joint 3rd in the County Sports Hall Althletics and then children from y 3,4,5,& 6 came first in the County Swimming Competition. Some amazing individual and team swims - 2 parts of the triathlon nailed!

The children enjoyed a brilliant performance from 'The Rocking Tigers' this morning. We are all very much in the festive spirit after Santa Claus was coming to Town.
This week, some of our athletes went to the Sports Hall Athletics with @DurhamCLS_SSP and we have qualified for the County Level round representing Chester-le-Street. The behaviour and effort of our pupils was exemplary.
After our recent @Scholastic Book Fair, we have been able to purchase some fanstatic books, chosen by our pupils, to bolster up our Accelerated Reading choices. Books open up our world.
Yesterday, we took part in the Be Internet Legends assembly run with @TheParentsZone - the theme was Be Kind and our pupils have suggested great ways to be kind when being online.
On Sat 18th Nov, we have our Christmas Fair with some great stalls alongside some fantastic Christmas decorations made by our pupils. Come along to really start the festive season and support our school.
Our School Council would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who kindly supported the @OCC_shoeboxes . 55 boxes were collected and they are now on their way to Moldova and Kosovo - this will make a real difference to children's lives - thank you very much.

On Tuesday, we raced against Durham and Chester-le-Street schools in the area XC. Some did a race and some a fun run. Special mention to Joy (1st), Daniel (1st), Henry (2nd), Finn (6th) and Beth (10th). Our competitive teams have qualified for the county finals in the New Year.
Was great being at St Mary and St Cuthbert's Church for our Harvest Festival this morning - beautiful singing from KS2 pupils and thank you for donations for @PKnewcastle and @DurhamCP - really appreciate all of the donations.
