Not sure we talk about Denzel Burkeโs rookie season enough. Started eight games as a 5th-round pick and finished with 49 tackles, 11 PD and 3 INT with a passer rating allowed of 70.8.
Something to get excited about if Burke and Will Johnson become above-average CBs this year.
I think we have jumped the shark on discourse around X-receivers and some of the reaction to Mike LaFleur's comments on his top two WRs yesterday got me going on this topic.
This has gained some steam on social media, so just to provide some clarity:
#AZCardinals edge rusher Josh Sweat is not being traded. Not to the #Packers or anywhere. Carry onโฆ
Dawg theyโve gone 2-23 without Kyler since 2022 and his journeyman replacement is holding out.
Kyler might get a statue for that 7-0 start with the way things are tracking.
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our father, Larry Fitzgerald Sr. A devoted father, husband, grandfather, and a true pioneer in the Minnesota broadcasting community, he spent his life pouring into the people and the city he loved so much.
He left us peacefully this afternoon, surrounded by his family and the people who loved him most.
We are so grateful for the incredible care and kindness shown by the team at the University of Minnesota Fairview Southdale Hospital during this time.
We ask that you keep our family in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate these first difficult days.
With love,
The Fitzgerald Family
Wow: Larry Fitzgerald says that Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison Jr. spent 45 minutes giving advice to his son without knowing who he is.
"Devin didn't tell him who he was, and Marv spent 45 minutes at a restaurant chopping it up with my son."
It's clear MHJ was raised right โค๏ธ
Sources: The #Cardinals have received trade calls on Pro Bowl DE Josh Sweat.
Sweat had 12 sacks last season in his first year with Arizona and had a close relationship with Jonathan Gannon, whom the Cardinals moved on from.
Love Simms. I watch him often.
This is his worst and most ignorant take in a while.
The offense under Brissett was bad. The trash stats that get referenced were extremely inflated by garbage time touchdowns and meaningless padding.
Tape doesnโt lie.
Time for Beck/Minshew!
"Jacoby Brissett should hold his damn ground. He deserves to be paid more. They are not going to be as good on offense without him at quarterback, and he has that leverage. Hopefully, they can figure that out."
