Mind you these jobs will have you doing monkey dances and performing for them for 3+ interviews, some of them including full panels, and then just…. Ghost you. No follow ups whatsoever. No responding to your follow ups. People will be taking off from their current place of employment more than once in some cases to come yap it up and think about maintaining perfect posture and hand placement because “hands on your lap signals insecurity and interviewers don’t like that” (???? Are y’all fucking licensed psychiatrists in addition to mid level corporate management ??), literally STUDYING for the interview, taking hours prepping, and they’ll run you through a ringer of interview rounds and then one day they disappear.

THAT is what is unprofessional. These employers treating human beings like scum whose time is so insignificant it can be wasted without so much as a “sorry we went with someone else” email, is unprofessional. THAT is an unprofessional humiliation ritual. Someone having a beverage for a sometimes 2 hour conversation is being a normal human being.

Y’all have got to release yourself from the idea that middle management in corporate America are your gods who you must dance for to appease. That is literally just Dave.
