The TDS crowd is screeching that President Trump can't legally appear on a U.S. $1 coin; heres a quick fact check to shut them up:

The law these lunatics are usually citing (31 U.S.C. § 5114) applies to paper currency, not coins. NOT COINS.

Coins are governed separately under 31 U.S.C. § 5112, and there is no blanket prohibition against a living person appearing on a U.S. coin. In fact, there's already a historical precedent: President Calvin Coolidge appeared on the official 1926 Sesquicentennial half dollar while he was still in office.

The TDS nutcases can hate the Trump coin as much as they want, but claiming it's automatically illegal because "living people can't be on U.S. currency" is simply incorrect. Coins and paper money are governed different. 🇺🇸
